Complete renovation, extension and loft conversion in Headington, Oxford.

The requirement here was a complete home renovation to a dated and partly extended semi-detached home in central Headington, Oxford. A rear dormer loft conversion complete with three front “Velux” roof lights and a walk in en-suite wet-room was built first after removing the existing loft and taking out the chimney all the way down to the ground floor.

The rear saw the addition of a 6-metre pitched roof extension creating a room and living space to the rear of property almost 12 metres long by 5.5m wide. This space was used for the open plan kitchen, a separate shower room. utility room and a boiler room, where the newly fitted boiler and unvented cylinder was located. The main room was used for the kitchen, dining and lounge. The front ground floor reception was kept in place.

The house was rewired throughout, a new central heating system and completely re-plastered and insulated.

The project was a “Permitted Development” and required no planning permission. The project time on site for the works is around 6 months.
